A String Of Sentences

First, lets start with some inspirational words.

It’s Monday.

Ready Set Go

When you were little, and had races at school, did anyone every say “Ready set, smoke a cigarette”?  That memory just popped into my head.  I am a scatter brain.

My iPhone is syncing, but it will not download any pictures.

We had rain, glorious rain all weekend long.  Thank you Jesus.  It made for such a nice drive to and from work.

Work was fantabulous this weekend.  I love being a nurse.  I love taking care of people.  It is a true calling.

I hope Jillian Micheals does not see me eating this egg mcmuffin.  I cannot help it.  It is monopoly time at McDonalds.

I am the queen of short sentences.

You may bow to me.

I think McDonald’s gave me caffeinated coffee by accident.  Or maybe not by accident.  I am probably the only person who orders decaf.

On the car ride to school, we listened to Party In The USA for the girls, and On The Darkside by Eddie And The Cruisers for mommy.  I know you are smiling when you read this because you can totally sing both songs!  I have always wanted to be the hot and sexy tambourine girl.

Like any other Monday, I have a house to clean, and laundry to wash.  I like a profession where you can do your work in your pajamas, and you are your own boss.  The husband likes to think he is my boss.  He is a funny man.

He wore his boots to work today.  I love a man in some cowboy boots.

My youngest is watching Calliou.  I cannot stand that kid.  I think it is because I have caught my daughter whining like he does.

Do you need your mood boosted on this lovely Monday morning?

Try this.

Here is my Monday morning computer perusing music playlist.

  • Cup Of Sorrow – Amos Lee
  • I’ll Be Waiting – Adele
  • All I Want Is You – Barry Louis Polisar
  • Something Else – Diamond Rings
  • Bad Angel – Dierks Bentley
  • Second Hand News – Fleetwood Mac

I leave you with this:

If you do not want your three year old to touch anything, paint her fingernails.  She will be so scared of ruining them she will touch nothing till they are dry.

P.S.  I got my Fried Ravioli recipe here.  I put ricotta cheese in my marinara sauce.  It is fabulous!  My kids crazy loved this meal.

Have a happy happy day!

  1. My little girl just got her toenails painted yesterday and, oh, the excitement! I’m not a big fan of Caillou either – cuz that dumb song gets stuck in my head!

  2. hahah I love your tip how to keep a three year old from touching everything :P

  3. I am laughing because my sister and I were just talking about cailou yesterday. At one point I wouldn’t let D watch that show because the kid is a little whiny brat and I noticed D acting like that every once in awhile. My sister wouldn’t let her kid watch Max and Ruby after she noticed he was acting just like max. Ha ha. Crazy what kids absorb.

  4. We are just now getting the rain!
This is such a fun round up post!
    LOVE Dierks Bentley. :)
