A Song And A Sick Husband

I LOVE LOVE LOVE when a song reminds me of a movie, trip, or a happy time in my life.

I started listening to Christmas music on Pandora last Friday to pep me up for another round of cleaning the House of Kells.

This song came on.

It immediately made me think of this.

This is my all time favorite movie.  I  pretended I was singing “Surrey With The Fringe On Top” on the singing machine at the electronics store.  Ah, I miss cassette tapes.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

I started writing this post last Friday.

It is Monday.

At midnight last night, I was a Tom Thumb buying my husband some cold medicine.

I had just spent the past twelve hours caring for people recovering from heart surgery.

I was very tired, but he was sick and I take care of sick people.  It is in my bones.

Men with colds are funny.

They act like they are dying.

I rubbed Vicks on his chest.

I slept on the couch.

I DO NOT want the plague.

I woke up and got the girls ready for school.

Then I took my little one to the park.

I promised her on Saturday.

I wore my pajamas, but did accessorize with my grandpa cardigan.

It is green and all the buttons have fallen off.

I was fierce!

Now I am eating a bacon egg and cheese from McDonalds.

That was officially my last fast food meal.

Pizza does not count.

Did I mention that the husband went to work this morning?

He promised he was only going to be there for a couple of hours.

I made him bring hand sanitizer so he could disinfect his Plague from his co-workers.

If he stays longer I am going to kick his butt.

The coffee is not working.

I am TIRED.

I still had enough energy though to dance to this.

It is one of the greatest rock songs ever!

Happy Monday!
