Summer Summer Summer Time

Besides trying to pack a 4 bedroom home into a three bedroom home, I have been keeping my girls busy.

We spend every morning at park.  It is perfect.  The trees block out the sun, and when there is a breeze, it feels great!

I took the girls on their first trip to the square.  I have always loved this town.  Unfortunately, my favorite part has been replaced with ugly condos, because apparently that is what is cool now.

We ate pizza at JJ’s.

We also stopped at the Opera house to buy some used books.

It was very HOT!

We go to the library every couple of weeks.

I have been keeping myself busy also.

Reading…

Running…

Taking pictures…

Crafting…

Today, since we were all sun burned from the lake, I thought ice cream was in order.

So….

I made them sundaes.

Plus, I got a little something to keep mama cool.

The best ice cream ever!

And some yummy wine, because mama needs to wind down after spending day after day with her three daughters.  Do you have three daughters?  Good grief the things they fight about.

Moscato take me away!

Hope you are keeping cool!

Tomorrow is school supply time, and I finally found my paint brushes, so I can paint my dresser.

My 6 year old just told me not to sass her in her best Texas accent.

Time to make some fried chicken.

Then run.

Then finish laundry.

Which is why we buy the small bottles of wine that are strategically placed by the check out for $1.25.  You see, if you take all your children to the grocery store by the time to get to the checkout, you could use a bottle or two or three.

I see a evening of sitting in my lawn chair, drinking my wine, and listening to some Merle and Waylon.  The perfect way to end the day!

Be Happy!

Seriously Sassy Mama

  1. So many things I can relate to – we unloaded our boxes off the truck and I swear I don’t know how we got so much stuff. And fighting children? Bring on the wine please :)
