We are back from the lake, and we had a great time yet again. It was nice to lounge around even though it was 150 degrees outside.

Our first day there, I watched The Chew with my mom. She absolutely loves the show. If anyone knows anyone who could get me some tickets, I would totally make you a Lean Cuisine.
Anywhoo, we were watching the show and Mario Batali made the most awesome sandwiches with a mayonnaise and basal pesto spread. My mom gets up, walks to the kitchen, and viola! The picture above was the sandwich spread via Chef Karen.
The next morning the girls and I walked down to the lake to explore and take some pictures.

When it is 150 degrees outside, I highly recommend lying out in the sun in a chair out in the middle of the lake.

My parents have not scene any substantial rain since the end of May, so the lake has receded. This makes for more shore for exploring. This is a crazy stump that has been under water for who knows how long. It is like an underwater longhorn.

The neighbors have chickens, so the girls and I would walk over there a couple times a day. Chickens are fun to watch. They have finally started to lay some eggs.
We watched a ton of Olympics, read, swam, and ate some yummy food.
I will be sad when the day comes and my parents sell the place.

I love the idea of sitting in that chair in the lake with the sparkling water. Waiting for that kind of weather here in Australia!
I think if I was in Australia, I would love any kind of weather! Thanks for stopping by!
