Flowers make me happy.
They are colorful, and have so many different shapes and textures.
They also need a cool and simple place to hang out.
That is where this quick tutorial comes in.
You will need the following materials.
- Glass container or jar.
- Paint (I used some white latex left over from this project).
- Small paint brush
- Cup of coffee in a bright yellow mug (I promise it will make your day!)
I knew I wanted to paint hearts on my glass jars, so I just free handed them. You can pick anything you want to paint on yours. I think white polka dots would look great too. I recommend white paint because it is such a clean and simple color, and somehow makes the glass pop.
I did not want the flowers to overtake the vase, so I chose these. They are perfect, circlular, yellow, and simple.
What I love most about these vases, is that they can go anywhere. They are simple and clean. There is something earthy about them that I love. I can put them anywhere in my house and they will go with the decor.
They look really good with cookies. They would be perfect on a tray for a sweet Mother’s Day breakfast in bed.
So next time you save a pickle jar, grab some paint, and head to the local flower shop. It will put a smile on your face, and that is what crafts should do.
Put a smile on your face!
