Photos and Things

Things….

The family and I went camping last weekend, and had a great time.  The weather could not have been better, except for the mornings which were freezing cold.

The bunnies are doing well, and right now as I type this their mommy is feeding them.  Life is so awesome.

My nine year old has to wear a bra all the time now, and after I told Mr. Kell, I was firmly instructed to never talk about it again.  I guess this means I am all on my own when it comes to the puberty talk.

I do not want anyone to be jealous, but I am organizing my computer tomorrow.  My folders, pics, etc, are all out of whack.

Pictures…

Mr. Kell is trying to fix a hole in the air mattress in the dark.  I will let you guys know that it did not work.  I got zero sleep.  At 0500 I got up and walked to the bathroom, then quickly ran back to the campsite because I thought I was being chased by an animal.  I made some coffee, and watched the sun rise all by myself.  No kids, no husband.

A beautiful tree during the sunrise.

It does not get better than a campfire.

The water was crazy cold, but these girls did not care.

The water was so calm in the mornings.  It made me wish for a porch with a porch swing.

Have you bought the abeautifulmess app on iTunes.  You really should, because it is too much fun.

Little bit running after her sister at the bus stop.  They are running around right now playing dress up.

We packed up the campsite on Mother’s Day and headed home.  I took a nap, we ate Whataburger, and watched reruns of Duck Dynasty.  Plus, I got the above poem for a gift.

Another great week!

Go Rangers!

Excuse Me B&*$%, You Don’t Need To Shout

I watched Pitch Perfect the other day.   Fat Amy or should I say Fat Patricia made me laugh out loud.  The fact that they were watching The Breakfast Club and calling it a classic made me want to cry.

This week seemed to go on forever, like it was in slow motion.

This is my first Mother’s Day weekend off in 9 years.  We are camping with the in laws, and we always have a ton of fun.  I plan to read, rest, eat, and drink some adult beverages.

It will be nice to wake up tomorrow and not have to think about working all weekend.

Now some pictures.

When did this girl get so big?  She will be double digits in September.  I love walking with her to the bus stop with my glass of green tea.  I wave at the bus driver and walk back to the house.  It is one thing that really makes me feel like a mother.  I love this girl so.

A gift from one of my girls.

Books from the library.  I find it so peaceful there.  Oh, and that large book top right…  it is soooo happening.  I am so excited.  I am starting my summer reading list early.

Sleeping demon I mean daughter.  I sign her up for Kindergarten today.  Three kids at school while I am home.  What am I going to do?

Nature walk with my girls.

Nothing screams love like making your children exercise when you take them to the park.

One of views on my daily walk.

It was a dreary day yesterday, and my car was in the shop.  Since the little bit and I were stuck at home, we ordered a pizza and watched Despicable Me.  The dancing at the end is my favorite.  I get up and dance every time.  My girls hate it.

If you are a mother reading this happy Mother’s Day.

If you are not a mom, or are a man…

Have a happy weekend!

You can check me out on instagram @seriouslysassymama, to check out all the camping fun!

Listen Here

I am slow to the whole Duck Dynasty thing and have just started to catch up on old episodes.  I laugh because I live this stuff minus the super red neck parts.

Here are some pics of the week.

Last Friday there was a Spring Carnival at the girls school.  Of course the best part was the bounce houses!

This is a happy little girl who got to go to the park on Monday.  She even packed her own lunch and back pack.  It was too cute.

Then she wanted to take a walk, that later turned into a race.  See that cute dress?  I got it from Moxie Jean an online secondhand kids clothing store.  Everything I bought was in perfect shape.

My little bit was getting tired of seeing me spray paint stuff, so we went to the Goodwill and bought two metal candle sticks.  Theya re now sitting in the flower beds in the front yard for some yard art.

I like to call this “Girl with spray paint”.

New shoes thanks to Walmart.  I would not wear them to the zoo, but running around town is great.  The stripes are perfect.

Waiting to pick up her sisters.

I would like everyone to know that this says Lampin Rainbows.

I have been walking two miles everyday.  It has been gorgeous outside (minus yesterday and today), and it gives me time away from the noise.

It was 48 degrees when I left for Ikea yesterday.  Unacceptable weather in May for Texas.  It was 34 when I woke up this morning.  I am not a happy person.  I pulled out the cords to wear with a nice bright orange and white striped shirt.

Cinnamon Rolls.  Yum!

This really needs no explanation.  We caught the tail end of this movie last night, and I told my girls they were not allowed to go to high school parties because it could get crazy and someone may cut off your hair.   Like that was the worst thing that could happen.

I have to work the next two days, then I am off for two weeks.  I cannot wait to spend the weekend with my girls and Mr. Kell.

P.S.  I really need to do something with this wall.

It Is Too Soon

I was forced to watch some of the draft last night.  I say forced because it is what Mr. Kell wanted to watch, and I wanted to be near him.  Sacrifices ladies, sacrifices.

I have to say, I was not prepared for this day, and I feel it has come to soon.  Did we not just have a Super Bowl?  Are we not allowed some kind of break before our husbands start talking football, and fantasy teams.

It is baseball season, and I will not be deterred.

Football, and the cowboys can wait till August, as it is supposed to be.

Now, how about some pics and commentary from the week.

Mr. Kell and I went to a wedding last Friday night, and I actually had to use one of these things.  I never iron anything.  Between yoga pants during the week, and scrubs on the weekends, I have no reason to use such a machine.

Whataburger fun!!!!

Say hello to my new flower pot.  Mr. Kell and I have plans for a small part of the backyard.

I found these in the trash.  I am thinking turquoise of course.

I had to buy it.

Gravy is awesome!

She still gives the best hugs.  She loves her momma so.

My little bit calls this store the lost and found.

Splashing puddles at the library.

I am contributing to her high cholesterol levels in the future.

Like I said on Instagram…  My uterus was used to house the most beautiful girls.

Thank you Jesus for another beautiful day.  I promise to stop dwelling on the past.

My herb garden.

Fro-yo with these beauties made my Thursday evening.  Well that, and watching Beauty and the Beast.  Yes, that is a mint green wall.

Tomorrow we have gymnastics and a school carnival.  Six more weeks, and we will be sleeping in, crafting, and going on adventures.

Have a great weekend.

InstaFriday

This week was a week of weird weather.  While it was just cold and rainy here, seeing pictures of around the country made me happy that I live in Texas.  I have to say though, it made for some pretty pictures on some of the blogs I read.

For good reason, I am not very productive on Mondays.  I ran to the bank, bought a magazine, ate some Whataburger, and hung out with my little bit.  I enjoyed reading this book, and am reading the second book of the series now.  Apparently there is a third in the works, and a possible movie.  I am recommending that Hugh Jackman play Matthew.  He is who I see when I am reading.  Plus, he is tall dark and yummy.  I am working on a post about all the things I love about this edition of BHG.

Where I usually sit on the couch gives me a view of our garden.  Just a plain old garden.  No raised beds, just dirt.  Our corn is looking good as well as the onions, tomatoes, peppers, and I think beans.  This is Mr. Kell’s domain.

Tuesday we went grocery shopping.  Aldi first then Sprouts.  I am in love with their vanilla wafers.  This is what little bit wore.  Ballerina outfit, black and pink leggings, and a printed shirt.  It was pretty darn cute.

Here is another choice ensemble.

I made this mac and cheese.  My girls did not like it, and Mr. Kell was not in the mood for mac n cheese.  The girls thought something was missing.  It was the processed cheese.  I am going to use salted butter next time, and add a few different cheeses for some texture.  I thought it was great, but needed a little salt.

It started to warm up yesterday.  The day definitely called for a rootbeer and a yellow straw.  My favorite root beer is IBC.

This water was very good.  I am going to make my own, because $1.29 a bottle is a little pricey.  My favorite was the lime.  Mr. Darcy is never far away.

This girl actually took a nap the other day.  I thank the weather.  This was her evil eye when she woke up and I had the phone in her face.

Last nights dinner idea was a success.  Everything was served on a toothpick.  The girls helped make, serve, then of course eat it.  It was a ton of fun.  We spent dinner brainstorming what to put on a stick next.

It is supposed to be beautiful today.  I hope it is where you are too.

It’s Instafriday

life rearranged

Linking up with some pictures of the week.  What would we all do without Instagram/

Red pants and sparkly pink shoes ruled my Monday at Ikea.  I love that place.  I scored a $5 lampshade in the “as is” section.  I also found some chairs for the dining table.  I will have to buy one per paycheck.  I figure by Summer, I will have 5.  If you buy the skinny boyfriend pant from Old Navy, just know they do not fit like the jean.  An 8 was a little snug, but a 10 would have been to big.  I really need to stop eating all that belly bloating food.

Red funky knobs, for my antique dresser.  P.S  the color is sweet pea from Lowes.  I have discovered that I would sooner spend money on my house and my girls than myself.  Mr. Kell gets spoiled every now again also.  I mean I just bought him some toothpicks and cough drops.  If that is not showing love, I do not know what is.

My daughter and I love to eat here.  They have the best customer service.

It is getting bright in the bedroom.  All I need now is pillows and art above the bed.  Oh, and a bed skirt.  My sister said that it is not fen shui to have a bed skirt because it stops the flow around the room.  Not having a bed skirt and having your box sprig show drives me nuts.

My daughter Abby likes peanut butter on her waffles and pancakes.  This little girl exudes coolness.

I made it to the gym twice this week.  I am feeling crappy because I am not going my regular four.  My little bit is having some extreme social anxiety issues and I am going int the evenings when Mr. Kell gets home.  I am trying to find a good routine to combine home and gym.

My daughter made a heart on the windshield yesterday.

Candy the devil.  I have no control.

This is a pic of me on my last day of being 36.  Today I am 37.  In three more years I will be 40.

Breakfast Starbucks.  Tall decaf caramel macchiato.  It is the bomb.

This is a peek of my awesome bag my sister got me for my birthday.  It is the perfect tote with hot pink neon straps.  I am so in love.  it is just the bag that I wanted but could never find.  Thanks Heather!!!!

P.S.  I am very fickle when it comes to themes for my blog.  I can never find one that makes me super happy.  I think I finally found one that has stuck.  Now just to tweek it her and there.

Death Cannot Stop True Love

Another week has ended.  I really need to get my butt in gear and start some Spring cleaning.  Real cleaning.  You know, where you make lists and throw things away.

In the meantime though, how about some pictures.

I really do not like doing dishes.  I prefer washing dishes over the dishwasher.  Crazy I know.  I have had the above dishes since I got married.  They are everyday dishes and the pattern was discontinued by Dansk.  I decided to check Ebay, and holy crap, $60 for a plate! I think I will be supplementing with random dishes.  Just another reason to go to Ikea.

I tend to skip breakfast, by this past Monday was especially hard for me.  It called for coffee and eggs.

I love funny kissy faces.  This one here has be trying my patience.  School is not going well.  She might be the only Kindergartner who does not know her complete alphabet.  Although, we were at Sprouts and she walked up to a box and said i want some Rice milk.  I was like what are you talking about.  Sure enough there she was holding a box that said rice milk.  Sounds like a little bit is a little full of crap!

I would like to call this “Dishes from a Sunday.”

This one here was looking for her name so she could see her stars.  The stars represent the skills she has mastered.  She has the cutest bubble butt.

Oh Mr. Darcy!

Painted knobs for the entryway dresser.

Future artist.

I just can’t get enough…  I just can’t get enough.

Flowers at Sprouts.  The sunflowers are gorgeous.

My girls are little fruititarians.  I personally am in love with strawberries.

Now to sit down and make a real list to accomplish something around here.

Happy weekend!

Have a blessed Easter.

You Can’t Mix Your Dream Team From Different Eras

I watched Return To Me last night.  I love that movie.  Those men sitting around drinkinng beer and playing cards makes me smile every time.  Who doesn’t love some Archie Bunker?

Exercise, exercise, exercise.  I got in two days this week.  One day was in the evening, and I will never do that again.  Holy jeez there was a ton of people.

I worked extra this week, and saw this during the drive.  Do you think they are plumbers?

I found this while cleaning up.  Too cute!

I am in the process of working on some wall art for above the TV.  This is the first piece.  I copied it from a print my sister made in college.  I am not creative, but I can copy just about anything.

Two out of three girls helped in the kitchen this week.  I now know why I like to cook alone.

Some people wear TOMS, some where moccasins.  I love my loafers.

Blockbuster is closing in our town, so little bit and I did a little bit of shopping.  Young Frankenstein is for me.  Abby normal anyone.

My cabinet is finished.  Now I just need to hang the doors and buy some new knobs.  Next, I am looking for a small cabinet with glass doors.  This house needs something yellow.

Pumpkin pie wanted lasagna for dinner so I made some.  I love my new pyrex dish.  My sister Mary found me this with the lid, and a gravy boat.  I crazy love my pyrex.

Happy Weekend!

I Can Die A Happy Woman

Holy crap kids it finally happened.  Vincent kissed Katherine, and it was AWESOME!

What am I talking about?

Why it would be Beauty And The Beast on the CW.

Yes, I am a 17 year old girl trapped inside a 36 year old’s body.

*******************************************************

My week started with some tea with one of my favorite mugs.  I needed something to give me hope after Matthew died, and Mr. Darcy is always the way to go.

I love how tall and skinny I look in the windows of the gym.  It is very uplifting before I go in to sweat.

I took the girls for some fro-yo per their request.

I had key-lime and pomberry sorbet with nerds.  Totally sweet and sour, just like me.

A Tangled puzzle with my little bit.  I love this movie.

My little bit loves to wear lipstick like her mama.

This little girl must splash.  It does not matter how cold or wet it is, she will stop what she  is doing and jump.

I love her.

Now to prepare for another weekend of work so I can enjoy another week of instagramming my simple little life.

My Week

I thought I would link up here and do this whole InstaFriday thing.  Lord knows I have enough Instagram photos to entertain.

So here it goes…

I worked out 4/5 days this week.  My body is hurting less, so I am going for the big 5/5 next week.  My little bit goes to the kids area while I sweat.  Like the hashtag for this pic stated #iwanttowearabikini.

I crafted this week.  I made a wreath, mini message center, and some wall art.  I am addicted to the small blocks of fabric you can buy at Walmart.

I am slowly but surely getting my little bit ready for Kindergarten.  I will never be a homeschooling mother.

My girls are nuts.  I have discovered that my children have a deep love for electronics like their mother.  Lord only knows how much worse it would be if we got and iPad.  It is time to change a few things.

We have a huge coffee table in the living room.  It is very inviting for all kinds of stuff.

That is a green and white striped bowl from World Market.  It is the happiness dang thing I have ever seen.  See that yellow pitcher in the back.  It is a Bauer piece I found at a thrift store.  I paid $15 for it.  It sells for $65.  Score Necole.

My mother makes the absolute best sugar cookies.

Seek and find with Highlights magazine.

Here is North Texas this week, we have seen some beautiful sunny skies!

Last but not least, my little bit fell asleep today while driving home from Chuck E Cheese where she payed hard with her Papa and Nini.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
