Today

We woke up to snow.  What is that about?  So in honor of more snow, I pulled out my ducky boots.  My mom bought them for me when I left for college.  It snowed every winter in Lubbock while I was in school.  I love wearing those boots!

If it could snow and be 72 degrees, I really do believe I would be in heaven.

I thought I would take on the daunting task of finding a multivitamin so I headed to Sprouts.  It is a part of my “Take care of me” goals for 2013.  Thank goodness there was someone there who recognized how clueless I was.  All I can say is vitamins are very expensive.

My little bit and I took my last trip to Whataburger.  I take care of obese people with heart disease all day long.  I am done with crap food.

If more people used bendy straws, the world would truly be a better place.

Last, but certainly not least, this is what Mr. Kell left for me when I got in the car to run errands this morning.  Very sweet.

What did you do today?

Smile

It’s 9:41 am

  • It is 9:41 am and my daughter is already napping next to me.
  • She has not taken a nap in a month.
  • I guess watching me read makes her tired.
  • I ran two miles last night and only took three small walking breaks.

  • I do not see enough musicals.
  • This made me laugh out loud!
  • You have to love a man who just wants to keep it spicy!
  • I want a bedroom like this.
  • Quick fixes ladies!
  • I think I am going to partake in a little bad eating today.
  • I have been really good this week.
  • Minus the Chick-fil-a.
  • Why does fast food have to be so fast?
  • Why does it have to be good?
  • These are the things I ponder at 9:41 am.
  • I am reading about Henrietta Lacks.
  • Her cells do not die, and people have made millions of dollars because of them.
  • Her family has nothing.
  • I am saddened but not surprised.
  • The laundry door is open and my dryer is giving me the evil eye.
  • I guess I better go take care of business and start folding.
  • My little bit woke up so it is time to go!
  • Have a blessed day!

A List Of Fun

1.  Peek -A-Boo.  I turned around one day while I was making lunch, and this is what I saw.  Crazy girls!

2.  I found a few things of interest this week and wanted to share them with you.

  • Are you busy and overwhelmed?  Do you need some time for yourself?  Here are some ideas.
  • Back to school means lunches for kids.  Check out some homemade snack ideas here.

Well Now

  • Then a trip to Walmart from an oil change and some groceries.
  • The girls and I are leaving Mr. Kell home next week for a trip to the lake.

  • I love this song.
  • I am revamping some lamps and love the way they are turning out!

Have a happy weekend!

I will be working.

I work every weekend.

I am buying a lotto ticket today.

Maybe I will win.

Hodge Podgey

This post is like Walmart.  There is a little bit of everything, minus the “people of walmart”.  I think everyone can do without viewing those pictures.

1.  Mr. Kell and I sat out on the driveway Wednesday night and enjoyed the sound of the water sprinklers.  Then the girls realized we were not in the house, and we enjoyed the sound of them.

2.  I tried a new wine.  I bought it just for the brand, but ended up liking it.  I love a sweet white wine!  You can check out the other wines here.

3.  I love Pandora.  I have found so much good music.  I found this band the other day.

4.  John Mayer has a new album out.  I am lovin this tune.

5.

My girls and I ran around town on Monday.  I was avoiding doing anything with the house.  I took them to The Golden Corral buffet.  My children have never been to a buffet.  The looks on their faces when they saw all that food was priceless.  We also stopped at the Goodwill.  I have been dreaming of candlestick holders, so I bought 4.  I also picked up some vintage porcelain salt and pepper shakers.  I am loving my new goodwill.  I have also found a few thrift stores.  This could be very dangerous.

6.  I picked up two very ugly lamps a couple of weeks ago.  They were just sitting in a driveway waiting to be taken.  I took them, and hope I can make at least one of them look fabulous.

7.  My kids love these meatballs.  Easy and perfect.

8.  The girls and I have big plans next week.  A 4th of July parade on Wednesday, followed by BBQ with their grandma and pops on the lake.  Thursday is Brave with my friend Mande and her kids.  Friday, is crafts with my friend Marni.  Busy week!

9.

I am going to try and make these next week.  You can find the recipe here.

10.  I want my backyard to be full of yellow flowers like this.

I wouldn’t mind the rest of it either!

Happy Weekend!

I Have Been Engrossed In Some Literary Porn

via neatoshop.com

  • I found this on a friends Pinterest page.
  • Please excuse the absence, I have spent the past three days with Christian Grey.
  • Yep, I am one of those people who read the books.
  • One book a day for three days.
  • A fun read, but not a good read.
  • What can I say, I have always liked my romantic porn.
  • I have been reading Harlequins since I was 15.
  • Many parts were a little too dirty for me.
  • I probably blushed a billion times.
  • I could not keep a straight face when telling the husband about the book.
  • Anyways, time to move on.
  • I picked up some deodorant yesterday, and I ended up smelling like a man.
  • When does fresh scent = smells like a man.
  • Don’t get me wrong, I like the smell of a man, I just do not want to smell like one.
  • You know that drive you crazy feeling you get when there is a hair on you arm and you cannot find it?
  • I am about to go postal if I do not find that hair.
  • Two more weeks and we start moving into the new house.
  • My girls are so excited.
  • Even though we are renting, I have so many ideas for decorating the house.
  • It makes me happy when I see people outside exercising.
  • I have been walking 3 miles a day.  My goal is at least 10 miles a week.
  • No running.  I just cannot do it.  I guess I will have to walk a 5 k.
  • We will see.
  • Sometimes, I want to sit in front of the bathroom mirror and do this all day.
  • Unfortunately, things like the dryer buzzer go off and I am sucked back into reality.
  • Did you ever just hang out in the bathroom and practice putting on make-up?
  • I did.
  • Oh, there goes the buzzer reminding me of the responsibilities of my life.
  • I would have to say that dryer buzzers are a hard limit for me.
Happy Thursday!

Crafts, Birthdays, Baseball, and Some Pictures

1.   I watched baseball all weekend.  It is the only sport that my husband and I watch together.

2.  The name Bubba will be engraved in this years Master’s trophy.  I love that.

3.  We found a house and it is so lovely.  Fingers crossed.

4.  No weight loss or weight gain.  Score!

5.  More baseball today.  It consumes me.

6.  I have become my husband.

7.  I had a great birthday.  My girls bought me some pjs, and the husband came home with these lovelies.

8.  Tulips are my favorite flower, and the yellow was perfect.

9.  I got a little crafty the other day.

10.  You will have to wait till tomorrow to see.

11.  Have I ever mentioned that my little bit likes Whataburger, or as she likes to say wagabooga?

12.  I think it is pretty obvious.

13.  Coffee really is the greatest thing ever.

14.  This just popped up on my Pinterest home page.

15.

I crazy love this fountain at our outdoor mall.  I will miss it when we move.

16.  I am going to end this post with a little sweet and sassy.

17.  Sweet

Casual

18.  Very Sassy!

HOT

19.  I hope everyone has a great Monday.

20.  Bye!

5-4-2-3-1

Today is Friday, and I have had a wonderful week of doing nothing.  I packed a little bit, and did some cleaning.  The deep cleaning starts next week.  I love how the days are longer.  My girls have been playing outside every evening.  I love stinky, smelly girls that have been riding bikes and climbing trees.

  • Interval training is going well.
  • I have concluded I will never be able to run a complete mile.
  • I just do not think my body will do it.
  • I heard interval training burns more fat.
  • Burn baby burn!
  • All this exercising in the evenings make me less sleepy, and I am staying up late.
  • I mean late like 11:00pm.  I am usually in bed at 9pm.
  • My 8 year old woke us up yesterday.  We would have all been late if she was not so awesome.
  • I truly believe the husband has a Rocky analogy for every scenario.
  • Example:  I found some really great pilatesvideos on you tube, and was showing the husband one ab move.  He gets down on the ground and says “She got that move from Rocky 3″ and continues to breakdown the scene for me.  Like I have never scene it a cazillion times.  I have known the husband for over 20 years.  I know my Rocky movies.
  • Yep honey, she sat down and watched Rocky movies to create an exercise routine.
  • Eye of the tiger baby.
  • My birthday is next week.
  • I will be 36.
  • Lordy B.
  • This picture reminds me of a birthday I had in college.
  • I was still living in a dorm, and some friends covered my door with paper happy birthday signs.
  • I loved it so much, I did not want to tear it.  So I crawled underneath with my towel wrapped around me, shower caddy in hand and went to take a shower.
  • Community bathrooms.
  • I cannot count the times I would be walking to my room wrapped in a towel, and there would be boys walking down the hall.
  • I still have those birthday signs.
  • I told my girls I wanted pizza and pajamas for my birthday.
  • I love the sound of my coffee pot beeping telling me it is done.
  • It is like angels singing.
  • Here is another fun outfit.
  • These are still awesome!
  • I WANT this!
  • If someone wins the $500 million tonight, will you buy it for me.
  • I will microwave you your favorite lean cuisine.
  • Anywhoo, have a great weekend, and just remember…

ha ha!

Whole Lotta Stuff

I took these pretty girls to see The Lorax last Friday.  It was our last hooray of spring break. I really liked the movie, and think that Dr. Seuss was a genius.  After the movie we went to have some lunch at T.G.I.F.’s.

This was our dessert.  It is supposed to look like worms in a bowl of mud.  The girls loved it!

This drink is horrible.  I mean absolutely horrible.  The fact that it is neon orange should have alerted me like a road cone.  Not to mention that it stained the bottle neon.  It has zero calories and zero taste.  I will stick with the original orange vitamin water for my occasional break from water.

I found this cookbook at my mom’s last week.  It was my grandmothers, and the copyright date inside said 1944.  Wow!  My mom also had her mother’s recipe box.  I found this inside.

This is a recipe for rhubarb cake.  I always wondered if this was a northern thing.  My family is from Minnesota and rhubarb was a normal occurence, no one really talks about rhubarb here in Texas.  Maybe I will make one.   I write like my grandma.

I made the girls pancakes for breakfast this morning.

This was my pancake.  It makes me think of this.  U-G-L-Y you ain’t got no alibi.  You ugly yeah yeah you ugly.

Number One

It was unanimous. I will be wearing this on my date night with The husband.

via dsw.com

I ran last night.  Well, I did not run the whole time.  I did walk run intervals for one mile.  I felt crazy freaking awesome when I was done.  I am doing it again tonight.  I think the most fun was coming up with a playlist to listen to.  Once I finish it, I will let you guys listen!

Well, time to get to Target to finish groceries, then laundry and cleaning my girls rooms.  I also want to finish reading The Princess Bride, and my embroidery.  I have even started sketching my own patterns.  It is too fun!

Happy Thursday!
