Sweet Emotion

I totally had a Dazed and Confused moment this morning bringing my children to school.  There I was pulling into the parking lock with my rockin minivan, and this was playing on the radio.  I was so cool!  The automatic door slid open and the girls made their way to the front door.

I love that song.

Yesterday was a teacher work day so my two oldest had a day off of school.  Mondays are the best days to have off in my opinion.  Since I work weekends, I get to sleep in.

We went on a picnic.

On the menu:

  • Sandwichhes
  • Strawberries
  • Sonic drinks
  • Carrots and pickles
  • Popcorn

These three little girls had a great time.  They are at that age now where I can sit and just watch.  Well, the little bit still as some kid/stranger anxiety so I had to walk around with her for awhile.  Otherwise, I was able to just sit around and take pictures.

After some playtime at the park, I thought I would take the girls on a nature walk.  There is a 1/2 mile trail that wraps around the park and rec center.

This was a very hairy caterpillar that crossed our paths.

All you could smell was honey suckle.  It was everywhere.  The smell makes me think back to when I was little.  We used to pull the centers out to try to get a little drop of honey. Is it really honey?

All and all it was a wonderful day!

Then we came home and I made them organize all their toys for packing!
