Happy Hump Day And Some Picnik Fun

When I first got on Facebook, many years ago, I would always wonder what everyone meant by happy hump day.  Apparently I live in a dull and boring bubble where I do not know all the cool lingo the kids are using.  I never knew what a hot mess was either.

I say things like “Sweet Thing”, “Lordy B”, and “Suck a buck”.  You see where I am going.

My two older girls are back at school and although I like having them home, it is not summer time, and they need to be in school.

We had to break out the hoodies this morning.  In the land of the suburbs where I live, we are getting the best of both worlds in the weather department.  It is cool in the mornings, and just warm enough in the afternoon to wear short sleeves, but not so hot you are suffocating from the heat.

I have started decorating the front porch for the fall, and am kinda excited.  It is cute.  I am not completely finished, but after a few stops today, I should have a cute pic for tomorrow.

The girls and I hit the Good Will on Monday and I was a tad bit disappointed.  The Good Will near my home kinda stinks.  It is sloppy and disorganized.  I know they have used goods, but the people that work their could still take the time to nicely place the items on the shelves instead of just throwing them.  I will not discuss how the shoppers behave.  My mother would have my head if I did not pick up after myself.  There were people there that would look at something and if they did not want it just throw it down, or place it anywhere.  My type A cannot handle this place, but I always go just in case I find that perfect thing to redo.

Here are a few things that I found.

I think I paid $6 for the whole lot.  I am going to have some fun on pinterest to see if I can find a cute stencil idea for the window box.  I plan on hanging it by the front door.  I love the gold candlestick just the way it is, but it is screaming for some bright spray paint.  Trust me, you guys just cannot hear it.  I have been asked to paint the black votive hot pink for my soon to be 6 years old’s room.  She is also getting a new room for her birthday.  She is letting me deviate from pink and purple and I am already having so much fun.

I still do not know what to do with my dresser?  The husband is tired of looking at it in the entry way.

Any ideas? I am all ears.

Do you Picnik your pictures?  I love this site.  I cannot afford Photoshop, and since I do not know how to use it anyways, I like this alternative.

Since it is soon to be Halloween, I thought I would play with some of my girls pics.

My girls got a kick out their pictures.  I think they are hilarious.

Very Scary!

Happy Hump Day!

P.S.  I totally caught up on Haven, and they better renew it for a third season!

Picnic does not know me from Adam.  I like that it is inexpensive and I can make collages with my girls pics.  That’s it, over and out.
