I Was Going To Be Productive, Then I Decided To Watch Hoosiers

077a

  • I will never not watch that movie.
  • It completes me.
  • I basically cry all the way through,
  • I feel the excitement.
  • Plus Gene Hackman and Dennis Hooper.
  • Do not even get me started.
  • When the kid tells coach at the state game “I’ll make it.”
  • Again tears.
  • Mr. Kell got a new truck today and he is excited about a CD player.  He pulled his giant box of CDs out of the closet last night and was reminiscing.
  • He was quite the headbanger back in the day, and I can guarantee he will be listening to Pantera on the way to work tomorrow.
  • Then he will listen to Shooter Jennings.
  • I love that about him.
  • He used to have the most wicked goatee.
  • Now he sports a sexy salt and pepper beard.
  • The closer we get to summer, the harder it is for me to get the girls to sleep.
  • My little bit is practicing packing her lunch box, and back pack for kindergarten.
  • I need to get my butt in gear and finishing schooling her in her letters and what not.
  • Mr. Kell will have to walk her to her class.
  • I am tearing up right now just thinking about her sitting at her table in a classroom.
  • Tears people.
  • Then I will go home and sit in silence, and plan the rest of my life.
  • Why have I never eaten gnocchi?
  • Potatoes people.
  • I was J.Lo when J.Lo wasn’t cool.
  • I am trying to find the perfect navy blue and it is seriously taking me a long time.
  • I have a date with some sand paper and an old cedar chest.

Bye

Random

Today is my birthday.  Mr. Kell woke me up with an early morning phone call to wish me a happy birthday.  It was also a get out of bed to take the girls to school call.  I really enjoy sleeping in.  One child rode the bus, and the other is sitting here eating crackers for breakfast.  They are getting the Mom Of The Year award ready for me as I type this.  Sorry ladies, it is all mine.

Now for some randomness.

  1. Random as many synonyms. A few are accidental, irregular, and unaimed.
  2. I will be wearing red pants and a blue shirt today to support my Texas Rangers!
  3. Come one o’clock my cute butt will be sitting on the couch eating a subway sandwich watching me some baseball.
  4. My MIL got me a Target gift card for my b-day, so yesterday I went to Target all by myself and bought some bras and panties.
  5. I never remember to splurge on things like that.
  6. Splurging on panties and bras at Target is my kind of fancy.
  7. I refuse to pay $30 for a bra when I was never blessed with any boobs.
  8. Plus, Victoria Secret is trying to market to young girls.  No young girl needs to wear fancy bras and panties.  Keep it conservative and cotton.  You will have plenty of time in your life to wear fancy lingerie.  If you are wearing it for a boy at 13, you need a talking to.
  9. I had my hair in braids pinned to the top of my head the other night, and Mr. Kell said all I needed was a white bonnet, and I looked Amish.  I said Amish mafia that is because I have sweet ninja skills, numchuck skills, and bow hunting skills.
  10. I watched Snow White and the Huntsman yesterday.  I love Thor.  I refer to the cute boys by their super hero name.  Anywhoo, Kristen Stewart does not know how to show any emotion besides constipated.
  11. I am finally planting my herb garden today.  The past few days have been super cold.  Seat warmers in April is uncalled for.
  12. May 10 is Kindergarten registration.  I am going to sign the little bit up, but I am not sure she is ready.  We will see.

I hope everyone has a happy day and a happy weekend.  The weather is supposed to be glorious here in North Texas.  I will be enjoying it from the windows of my patients.

Bye!

Howdy

Ia m sitting here in my pajamas, and I have no idea what to talk about.  I really do not feel like talking about much.  Which is very funny because I can have a conversation with a wall.  My oldest turns nine this week.  My daughters love their new school, and everyone has been so nice.  I hung out with my oldest friend yesterday and it was great!  I have not run much, but with all that is going on this week, I can restart the 5K training next week.  Anywhoo, aunt ruby is visiting, and when she visits, I feel like my belly fat has doubled, and who wants to run with extra belly fat?  Not this girl.  I know my sanity limits.

So, in honor of being random, and having no direction, I thought I would just list some stuff that has struck my fancy.

Oh, this song.  I love this band.  Their album hits September 24, and I will be eagerly awaiting on iTunes to buy it.

Yellow is such a happy color.  I cannot afford these sheets, but I think it is exactly what the master needs for a little pop.  I decided this morning I will be mixing old and new.  Rustic and modern.  I wish I would have decided this on Monday when the neighbors had an old wooden chair sitting out for the trash men.  It would have made a perfect nightstand.

This is going on the menu next week.  I could eat it off of the screen it looks so delicious.

These two little gnomes need to be sitting on my window sill.  Heather, these would be a great Christmas gift for your awesome big sister!

I love decorating for Halloween.  I want my front porch to look like this.

This is my current wreath on my front door.  I made it way too long ago, and need to design a new one.

It is time to go to the store, call the dentist, watch The Chew, and finish reading The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest.

All in a days work.

Have a happy day!

I Have Been Engrossed In Some Literary Porn

via neatoshop.com

  • I found this on a friends Pinterest page.
  • Please excuse the absence, I have spent the past three days with Christian Grey.
  • Yep, I am one of those people who read the books.
  • One book a day for three days.
  • A fun read, but not a good read.
  • What can I say, I have always liked my romantic porn.
  • I have been reading Harlequins since I was 15.
  • Many parts were a little too dirty for me.
  • I probably blushed a billion times.
  • I could not keep a straight face when telling the husband about the book.
  • Anyways, time to move on.
  • I picked up some deodorant yesterday, and I ended up smelling like a man.
  • When does fresh scent = smells like a man.
  • Don’t get me wrong, I like the smell of a man, I just do not want to smell like one.
  • You know that drive you crazy feeling you get when there is a hair on you arm and you cannot find it?
  • I am about to go postal if I do not find that hair.
  • Two more weeks and we start moving into the new house.
  • My girls are so excited.
  • Even though we are renting, I have so many ideas for decorating the house.
  • It makes me happy when I see people outside exercising.
  • I have been walking 3 miles a day.  My goal is at least 10 miles a week.
  • No running.  I just cannot do it.  I guess I will have to walk a 5 k.
  • We will see.
  • Sometimes, I want to sit in front of the bathroom mirror and do this all day.
  • Unfortunately, things like the dryer buzzer go off and I am sucked back into reality.
  • Did you ever just hang out in the bathroom and practice putting on make-up?
  • I did.
  • Oh, there goes the buzzer reminding me of the responsibilities of my life.
  • I would have to say that dryer buzzers are a hard limit for me.
Happy Thursday!

There Is Much To Accomplish

I am feeling a little overwhelmed today.  My house is a mess and there are boxes everywhere.   Not to mention the sea of laundry that is all over the floor in front of the laundry closet.

I have probably started 50 lists for everything that needs to be done before we move.  I have three weeks to save up enough to pay double rent for May, have utilities, internet, cable turned on at the new house, and make sure I remember to have everything turned off at our current house.  We are renting, so I have to  make sure I can do things like hang curtains and plant flowers.

Then there is all things I need to fix at our current rental before we move.  The owner does not like the pretty grey walls in the master, so I have to repaint them.  I have to touch up all the trim, and attempt to repair some molding my oldest took a knife to.  Yes, I said a knife.  All I can think is she was attempting to whittle. Then there is the broken window, and the carpets need to be cleaned.  I should probably put a shot of whiskey in my coffee.

I am letting my little bit have ice cream for breakfast because we have been running errands all morning.

I am happy to report that my kitchen is almost packed, along with my closet.  I was gong through some old CDs the other night and I love how random my taste in music is.  George Strait, The Ramones, and an Andy Williams Christmas CD were just three on the list.  Funny!

I walked another three miles yesterday, and my back is paying for it.  I found some yoga stretches on you tube to help.  So far so good. (Please contact a physician before you do any kind of physical activity).  I am not your mother or your doctor.

Or just extracting it from simple things.  For example, admist all my complaining about everything I have to get done, seeing my 6 year olds face light up this morning when she saw me at her awards ceremony made my day, or the way my little bit calls m&ms lemalems.  It really is that easy to be happy!

So, I am going to sit down today and make my final two list.  I am only making two.  A list for the old house, and a list for the new house.

I will not let the devil get me down, and I will always remember this!

Is There a Purpose To This Post?

  • The answer would be no.
  • After the girls went to bed last night, the husband made me pancakes.  He brought me the syrup and a drink.  I did not have to leave the couch.  Just another reason to stay married to him forever.
  • Did you know he can drive me more nuts than anyone in the whole world?
  • He knows it too.
  • My oldest daughter got in trouble for pushing a boy yesterday.
  • He was bragging about his team winning the kick ball game.
  • Sounds like my pumpkin pie is a little competitive.
  • I love that!
  • Not the pushing, the being competitive.
  • That is something both the husband and I have in common.
  • Go Texas Rangers!
  • One day I would like to go to a blog conference.
  • I bet they are a ton of fun!
  • Has anyone heard any news on the iPhone 5?
  • I really want a new phone.
  • I watched this last night while I was going through some of my old CDs
  • It is still one of my faves.
  • This is one of those things you put down as a great idea.
  • It is an office in a bag.
  • I walk three miles at a time now.
  • My husband tells me I am at my playing weight.  What does that mean?
  • If you walk or run, you should try this app.
  • I under pronate.
  • It is probably why my back hurts.
  • It gives me an excuse to buy new shoes.
  • Future nightstands?
  • Lisa Loeb designs glasses.
  • Just another reason not to get contacts.
  • My youngest peed in a plastic container yesterday because she was too busy to go to the bathroom.
  • What is that about?
  • This is my parents place on the lake.
  • It is so peaceful.
  • Have a happy Thursday!

Pictures From The Week

I am frantically making a grocery list going through fliers to see who has the better deal.  I will then go to my tiny Walmart marketplace and get groceries, minus the cereal which I get at Kroger because it is organic.  It is on sale for $2.00 a box.  That is a crazy good deal.

I have really slacked on my eating healthy.  It is amazing how preoccupied you can become when you focus on something like moving.  It has completely consumed me.  It really doesn’t help that Aunt Ruby will be here soon, which makes me a total scatter brain. I have not been able to accomplish anything this week, but a new week will be here on Monday.  My girls do not have school, so we will most certainly do something fun.

Now to some pictures.

This is my little bit who fell asleep in the chair right after breakfast.  She was sick on Monday and slept most of the day.  I will be a little sad when she starts pre-school in the Fall.  Just a little sad.

I start my interval training down this road every day.  Well, I did not exercise yesterday, but that is ok.  I am getting there.

I love pink.  It is such a happy color.  There are bushes of these surrounding a park in the neighborhood.  I love that there are parks in neighborhoods for kids.  I never had that growing up.  We used to sneak off and go to the lake exploring.

As much as I like the mornings, I love the time of day I walk.  The sun is not so hot, and the sunsets are beautiful.  It is a perfect time to talk to God.

This is what happens when you have a months worth of unmatched socks in a laundry basket.  I like to think I am channeling my inner Punky Brewster.  Yes, I have cankles.

This gives me so much inspiration for my new bedroom

I am totally going to be top knotting it this summer.

It is that time, and this just might be the winner.

Happy weekend everyone!

Crafts, Birthdays, Baseball, and Some Pictures

1.   I watched baseball all weekend.  It is the only sport that my husband and I watch together.

12.  I think it is pretty obvious.

13.  Coffee really is the greatest thing ever.

14.  This just popped up on my Pinterest home page.

5-4-2-3-1

Today is Friday, and I have had a wonderful week of doing nothing.  I packed a little bit, and did some cleaning.  The deep cleaning starts next week.  I love how the days are longer.  My girls have been playing outside every evening.  I love stinky, smelly girls that have been riding bikes and climbing trees.

  • Interval training is going well.
  • I have concluded I will never be able to run a complete mile.
  • I just do not think my body will do it.
  • I heard interval training burns more fat.
  • Burn baby burn!
  • All this exercising in the evenings make me less sleepy, and I am staying up late.
  • I mean late like 11:00pm.  I am usually in bed at 9pm.
  • My 8 year old woke us up yesterday.  We would have all been late if she was not so awesome.
  • I truly believe the husband has a Rocky analogy for every scenario.
  • Example:  I found some really great pilatesvideos on you tube, and was showing the husband one ab move.  He gets down on the ground and says “She got that move from Rocky 3″ and continues to breakdown the scene for me.  Like I have never scene it a cazillion times.  I have known the husband for over 20 years.  I know my Rocky movies.
  • Yep honey, she sat down and watched Rocky movies to create an exercise routine.
  • Eye of the tiger baby.
  • My birthday is next week.
  • I will be 36.
  • Lordy B.
  • This picture reminds me of a birthday I had in college.
  • I was still living in a dorm, and some friends covered my door with paper happy birthday signs.
  • I loved it so much, I did not want to tear it.  So I crawled underneath with my towel wrapped around me, shower caddy in hand and went to take a shower.
  • Community bathrooms.
  • I cannot count the times I would be walking to my room wrapped in a towel, and there would be boys walking down the hall.
  • I still have those birthday signs.
  • I told my girls I wanted pizza and pajamas for my birthday.
  • I love the sound of my coffee pot beeping telling me it is done.
  • It is like angels singing.
  • Here is another fun outfit.
  • These are still awesome!
  • I WANT this!
  • If someone wins the $500 million tonight, will you buy it for me.
  • I will microwave you your favorite lean cuisine.
  • Anywhoo, have a great weekend, and just remember…

ha ha!

Sacrifices

As parents, we are always sacrificing a piece of our time for our family.  We become consumed with homework, dinner, groceries, laundry, etc.  Well kids, I made the biggest sacrifice of my life yesterday.  I spent the evening at a my daughter’s girl scout meeting with a bunch of firemen.  Yep, that is what I said!  My daughter’s troop went their to visit our towns only female fireperson.  She is pretty awesome, and did marvelous with ten 6 year olds.  My husband volunteered to go to the meeting, but I felt like I should be the one to take her.  It is a known fact in our house, that I like firemen.  It all started when I was 10 and my family was in Corpus Christie for a vacation.  Their was a fire in our hotel, and I got to see my first fireman in action.  Well, there is that, then there was the time the diet coke man had a calendar and was dressed like a fireman.  Anyway, sacrifices.

This is my baby sliding down the pole.  I did not think that she was going to do it, but she jumped right up there!  The pole is for show only.  The sleeping quarters on on the ground level.

While I was away, the husband let our oldest daughter get crafty.  She is so creative, and at times I am jealous.  Some of the stuff she comes up with amazes me.  She built a pulley system in the back yard when she was three.

My girls like to watch reruns on Netflix of a show called Cake TV.  The show is no longer on television, but the crafts live on.  Anywho, here is a picture of what she made.

She used a piece of cardboard and cut one of her father’s t-shirts.  Then she added the month of April, and some embellishments and viola!  She was so excited to use the glue gun, that she left it plugged in all night.

That girl is crafty!

Now, do not think that I left my little bit out.

She and I went to Whataburger  or waga booga, as she likes to call it.

Yesterday was a day of sacrifices.  I sacrificed my time, my craft supplies, and my diet.

All in a days work!
