You Are My Sunshine

When I hear this song, I always tear up.  It is the song I sang to all my girls when they were babies.

You can here the best version of this song here.

Johnny Cash always reminds me of my dad.

I love all the art work and jewelry I see with these favorite words of mine.

I received this necklace last year for Mother’s Day.  My girls love when I wear it.

Here is another example I found from Lisa Leonard.

There is all sorts of cards and prints.

I think this one is my favorite.  You can find it here.

I always work on Mother’s Day, but love coming home to see what my girls have made for me.  My husband asked me what I wanted and I told him a $5 Starbucks gift card.  He said that’s it, and I told him I want to be able to go to Starbucks by myself to use the card, sit at a table, and drink my tall, decaf, caramel macchiato with soy milk all by my lonesome.

He smiled.

I do not believe in expensive gifts on Mother’s Day.

Jesus gave me three little girls, because he knew we would be a perfect fit.

Plus, there is nothing better than a homemade frame or hand prints with a poem.

Happy Mother’s Day!

You Are My Sunshine

My Mother’s Day gift was a necklace from my daughters with ” You Are My Sunshine” stamped on the metal charm.   It is so perfect.  I love it because it was the song I sang to all three of my girls when they were babies.  I smile and get teary eyed when I hear it.

It made me so happy.
